This is the company that I purhase my
domains from. In order to have a web presence ... you need to get a domain name. There are a
ton of different companies that you can do this through ... but I prefer
NameCheap.com.
They are easy to work with and have excellent
support if you have any questions. You could also get your hosting through them (see bottom
banner) ... and sometimes it is good to have various hosting companies.
When it comes to hosting ... I use HostGator. I
purchased a reseller license since I have so many different websites, but Name Cheap could
also be a great choice.

NOTE!
There are some companies that I prefer NOT to
work with ... one being GoDaddy. If you're going to have a regular business, they are okay
... but if you're looking to do affiliate work where you're sending out a ton of emails, you
need to be aware that all Domain Registars are not created equal. If they get any Spam
complaints ... they will shut you down in a heart beat. It'll take time to get things cleared
up and if you're marketing a new product on your site ... you may just loose the customers
you need. GoDaddy may be one of the biggest ... but they also have the biggest reputation for
causing problems ... they shoot first and ask questions later.
Just be warned.
